Accounting/Bookkeeping Support Responsibilities:

  • Assist with payroll processing on a weekly basis
  • Assist accounts payable/receivables and collections
  • Prepare monthly billings by generating invoices

Other Responsibilities:

Qualifications (Certification): 

  • Valid medical card as prescribed by Federal Motor Carrier Administration
  • Valid Class A commercial drivers’ license required.

Skill & Requirements:

  • Possess a good work ethic, be honest, dependable and have good communication skills.

The Burner is responsible for preparing scrap through the use of a burning torch. You will ensure all efforts are compliant with the company health, safety, and environmental standards. As a Burner, you must possess the experience and knowledge of wearing a respirator and all necessary safety equipment. The primary goal of this position is to maintain the highest quality product – safely and efficiently – while decreasing any accidents or errors by maintaining a safe and positive work environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Strictly adheres to all Metals Recycling Business Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
  • Examines unprepared scrap to ensure conformance with company standards. If scrap does not meet specifications, burner must cut scrap utilizing appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Maintains a torching environment conducive to fire control, and is able to seek additional assistance if first efforts fail.
  • Consistently operates cutting torches, regulators, torch tops, cleaners, hose removal and installation tools, water hoses, and occasionally operates oxygen lances.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time, including crouching, bending and stooping.
  • Ability to reach at arms length frequently or overhead occasionally; twist and turn at the neck and trunk; walk frequently on uneven ground; handle and grasp a torch continually.

Duties may include the operation of car crusher, one or several types of power equipment to assist in the lifting, and moving of materials, trucks or vans, as well as preparation of vehicles to be crushed. This position operates under flexible parameters. The primary goal of this position is to achieve excellence in all facets of the position. Providing the highest quality product safely, effectively and efficiently decreases accidents and errors and increase profits.
